Guys, it was a BUSY week. With Mama in town there wasn’t enough time for all the socializing, DailyHap-ing, yoga-ing, eating, and drinking wine that needed to be done. So we focused on the latter two.
- I’m so grateful my mom and I have such a great relationship. Having her visit was like having a best girlfriend in town. Only one who pays for dinner at Matsu.
- Dinner at Matsu.
- The surprise of the waiter coming over to say, “That gentleman at the bar bought your drinks …” SUCH a thoughtful gesture from a friend, but it doesn’t happen that often! (Of course he’s Texan…)
- My first Highland Bowl hike of the year + legit tree-skiing experience. Plus awesome new backpack. That’s a three-fer!

Yes, the hike is as terrifying as it looks. Yes, I skied the part you can see.
- I’m grateful my gimpy puppy is okay after she split a nail open. I butterflied it up, and you have to admit that knowing it’s okay makes it kinda funny:
I have since cut her nails. Eep!
