Feel Good Friday 022312

Feel Good Friday is a roundup of the things that made me feel good or that I’m grateful for all week. Join me and leave your Feel Goods in the comments!

Guys, it was a BUSY week. With Mama in town there wasn’t enough time for all the socializing, DailyHap-ing, yoga-ing, eating, and drinking wine that needed to be done. So we focused on the latter two.

  • I’m so grateful my mom and I have such a great relationship. Having her visit was like having a best girlfriend in town. Only one who pays for dinner at Matsu.
  • Dinner at Matsu.
  • The surprise of the waiter coming over to say, “That gentleman at the bar bought your drinks …” SUCH a thoughtful gesture from a friend, but it doesn’t happen that often! (Of course he’s Texan…)
  • My first Highland Bowl hike of the year + legit tree-skiing experience. Plus awesome new backpack. That’s a three-fer!

    sweet new backpack, huh?

Yes, the hike is as terrifying as it looks. Yes, I skied the part you can see.

  • I’m grateful my gimpy puppy is okay after she split a nail open. I butterflied it up, and you have to admit that knowing it’s okay makes it kinda funny:

I have since cut her nails. Eep!

  1. - Fun times with a friend visiting town and an accompanying luminary of my life
    - Reading Dalai Lama quotes do to an inspiring quote which was shared with me: “Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.” So many amazing quotes that can truly change your day to day life. Kind of want a Dalai Lama daily quote calendar. (Task #1 for Monday morning!)
    - Conversation with coworkers, family, and friends. All these people make every week great for me!
    - skiing, hiking, working out, and being outside. Aspen is always beautiful
    - My all-natural mood enhancing medicine! haha. Love it!
    - T-lazy honey and beef! The best!
