My husband and I had never been to Hudson's on the Bend so we went there on Sun. night. It was incredible! It was $35/person and $50 with wine. We did it with wine - $15 for 3 glasses was a great deal. I had the lobster bisque, pecan crusted snapper and chambord mousse. My husband had the duck for his appetizer, venison and the brownie sundae. We loved everything but the brownie sundae was better than the mousse. I thought the menu at Green Pastures looked great. I would have trouble deciding what to order. Looking forward to your review.

I went to Eddie V's last night - it was great, minus the fact they were out of the creme brulee dessert. The lobster bisque was fantastic as well as the lemon sole. The oysters were good, but a little too spinach-y for me.

We went to Aquarelle on Sunday night. I had the mussels and gulf shrimp which were very good, but also very buttery. The best dish by far was the escargot appetizer. I had never had escargot before and I LOVED it. It was definitely the most memorable. Also, the quail breast was pretty small and the veloute of zuccini was good, just not as delicious as the escargot.

Great suggestions! We went to Annie's tonight and they have a fantastic deal -- for $25, Adam and I shared a tomato brie soup, steak frites, and chocolate caramel mousse for dessert. It came with a glass of wine too!

Tomorrow, 15% of their proceeds go to AIDs Services of Austin. HIGHLY recommended.
