Tuesday night, check out the Listening Party for a tribute record. I don’t even know Love and Rockets, but apparently they’re a BIG DEAL.
“New Tales to Tell- A Tribute to Love and Rockets” features covers of Love and Rockets classics by Puscifer, A Place To Bury Strangers, The Flaming Lips, Black Francis, The Dandy Warhols, Blaqk Audio (members of AFI), Lossy Coils w/ Ian Moore, Johnette Napolitano, War Tapes, Chantal Claret (Morningwood) vs Adrian Young (No Doubt) and more. Love and Rockets have been influential to bands like these and many others with Pitchfork saying “some of those [artists] in debt are paying it back with a tribute album dedicated to their cult heroes
