All the musicians haven’t left Austin yet … TOOL at Whole Foods

Maynard James Keenan, the front man for TOOL, will be signing bottles of his Arizona Stronghold wine Tuesday from 4:30-7:30pm at Whole Foods downtown.

The Rules: No one under 21 admitted – No cell phones, cameras, or recorders – No bags, large purses, strollers, backpacks, or coats – Only wine bottles purchased during the event will be signed – No personal property or memorabilia will be signed or allowed – Minimum one purchase per person required – Each person must have a receipt to proceed from the registers. – No alcohol consumption or loitering – minors may go through the line with a parent or guardian; but the parent/guardian MUST purchase one bottle for each individual. And because ’tis apparently the season of celeb bottle-signings:

BONUS: On Saturday, Danny DeVito will be at Twin Liquors Marketplace in Hancock Center passing out samples of his limoncello and signing bottles of it as well. 11am-1pm, March 28.

  1. So sad to see how lame the hunt for ancillary sales can be with the rockstar crowd. I’m all for making money and marketing yourself as a brand — when it makes sense.

    P-Ditty (or whatever) selling a clothing/fragrance brand, ok. A guy from Tool using his fame to force people to buy a bottle of wine if they want to meet him? And don’t you dare bring an old band poster or CD cover to the table?

    People wonder how they can become irrelevant so quickly.

    “Tool” is an appropriate word in this case.
