I feel like I’m an open book, but sometimes people say things like, “I NEVER would have guessed [x] about you!” That I LOVE BRITNEY SPEARS is one of those things.
People, I stood by her when she popped out two kids, married K-Fed (I even LIKED K-Fed!), shaved her head, hit a papazo (isn’t that the name of a K-Fed song?) with an umbrella, went to rehab, sucked at the VMAs, and continued to wear tunics as dresses–which we all know I abhor. Through thick and thin, I love Britney. I’ve seen Crossroads multiple times, at least as many times as I saw Titanic when I was in the 8th grade (five). So I am so unbelievably excited about her 2009 Tour. Who cares that Circuses are so cliche? Who cares that she’ll probably lip-synch all of it? Who cares that it’s in Houston on a Monday night and Dallas on a Tuesday night (what the hell kind of audience are they trying to appeal to? jobless adults?)?
I’m there. Now to find someone to go with me … and a way to explain why I’m taking the day after off because I will have spent all night driving to another Texas city to see Britney Spears …
