There’s nothing like the Monday after a holiday weekend. It’s so worthless from a work standpoint–you’ve got four times the amount of email you normally do, everyone wants to chat about their holiday, and you’d really just rather be running off the pies you ate than sitting at a desk. Did you participate in Black Friday? I did not; I was trekking between grandparents’ houses in Houston. But I don’t know what the rush was, sales now should be even better than before as retailers struggle to make their holiday boon.
Of course, I also knew that The Warehouse Sale was coming to town tomorrow (Tuesday), so I could save my shopping dollars until then. The Warehouse Sale comes to town twice a year with tons of designer denim and a smaller selection of dresses and tops. The prices are about 50% off what you’d pay retail, so they aren’t STEALS, but they’re definitely cheaper–between $60-$100 a pair.
I’ve gotten a pair of jeans and/or a dress every time I’ve gone (they have BCBG–my fave designer–dresses, so I can’t help it!). RSVP:
