Fashion Sticky Notes … actual things I see in Austin, and how to remedy the problems they present
+ Banded bottom dresses. I can't say anything more than WTF?! These things look like you cut a head-hold in a pillowcase, slipped it over your head, and cinched it at the bottom. It's not hiding anything, it's not flattering anything, and it's offensive to the eyes. Don't wear this kind of dress. Wear a nice, breezy, A-line dress in a heavier fabric. It will hide and flatter, and it's pleasant on the eyes.
+ I understand that every magazine is telling you that Gladiator sandals are still in. And maybe they are. But that doesn't mean you should buy any pair on sale for $10, because those probably have too many straps, not enough detailing, and look cheap. If you must Gladiator, look for uniqueness: worn-in leather, small studs, criss-cross detailing ...
+ Shorts are for day time. Shorts are not and will never be for night time. Don't ever, ever, ever wear shorts with heels. Maybe maybe maybe shorts and platforms to a day time picnic. But shorts and stilettos don't belong on anyone but strippers.
Things I like … and you should too, because I knew about jellies shoes way before they were cool
