In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving break, I’m rounding up three new bars I haven’t been to yet, but would love to check out if I had the time. I hear the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is a great night for partying–less if you’re driving to Houston the next day (me), but still …
Malaia – a new 6th Street (dirty 6th!) “World Lounge” by Yassine Enterprises, which owns Qua, Vicci, Spill, Pure, Fuel, Treasure Island … almost all great dancing bars. Looking forward to tearing up the dance floor soon!
Madison – a swanky bar at the corner of 5th & Guadalupe, plenty of other things have failed in its spot, can Madison succeed? According to a friend of mine, it’s “awesome, a good club/bar.” But, the dude has been in Houston for the past five or so years, so we’ll see if his taste holds true to his Austin roots.
Mulberry – a new wine bar at the foot of the 360 condos, I’ve heard great things about its neighborhood-y atmosphere.
