Fashion Sticky Notes … actual hideous things I see people wearing, and how to remedy the problems they present

+Yoga pants that look like yoga pants tucked into riding boots pretending to be pants. IF THEY LOOK LIKE YOGA PANTS, you're not fooling anyone. Dead giveaways: piping across the butt, down the leg, logos, and colored waistbands if exposed. Do everyone a favor and just find plain, thick yoga pants to pretend are pants. (AND I do this, so I'm not complaining about the trend itself, just the execution)

+Shorts at night. I've been over how I personally feel this is inappropriate at all times, but now it's fall and you have absolutely no excuse for wearing shorts at night.

+Skinny belts slapped onto a dress—or worse, a shirt—because a magazine told you so. Really? Do you wear crazy makeup looks straight off the runway too? Make sure the belt adds something to your outfit AND your figure. If your waist isn't your skinniest feature, why would you highlight it???
Things I like … and you should too, because I knew about jellies shoes way before they were cool

*navy + orange
*southwestern-style accents in scarves or socks
*leggings + tall socks + boots
*short-sleeve hoodies or coats (only in fall can you get away with this)
*funky french manis like glitter or neons
*neon accents
*boxy bags
*cord, rope, or otherwise raw material bracelets

Hey! Cupcake 2nd Location on Burnet Rd.

While I don’t personally care for Hey! Cupcake’s cupcakes (I MUCH prefer Sugarmama’s), in the interest of keeping up with the cupcake trend I feel obliged to point this out.

Hey, Cupcake! opened a second location on Saturday, and this location is in an actual store rather than a silver Airstream on South Congress. But don’t worry, owner Wes Hurt took apart and reassembled his signature silver airstream trailer, so as not to lose the Hey! Cupcake signature feel. This location also features cupcake-inspired clothing by Austin designer Chelsea Fullerton, which I’m not so sure about myself.

5530 Burnet Road.: 9am-10 pm Tuesdays-Fridays, noon-10pm Saturdays and 1-9pm Sundays.

I agree about the cupcakes here. I stopped there yesterday and tried the carrot cake with vanilla frosting and white cake with chocolate. The cake was moist but relatively tasteless. The icing, not very sweet or rich, was a huge disappointment.

You cant even compare them… Heycupcake is way better, and not sweet or rich??? Had you just finish a cigarette? I bet you think Taco Bell makes great queso.
