I can’t remember the last time I heard so much buzz about Vice Presidential candidates debating … or really about them debating at all … most people haven’t cared that much. But this is a different year and a different type of election, so here are two places to watch the debates (if you’re not TiVOing and schmoozing it up at Glossy 8):

For a “neutral” audience, head to Alamo Drafthouse Village (Anderson Lane), where you can watch the debate on the big screen with beer and snacks–you don’t have to pay to get in, per se, but you do have to spend $5 on food or drink.

If you’re blue, the Travis County Democratic Party is hosting a watch party at the Long Center, $5 suggested donation, RSVP @ do512 for free entry.

Even if you’re not all that into politics, this debate has all sorts of intrigue: is Sarah Palin dumb or incredibly cunning? (ps she hasn’t ever lost a debate–of course, this is over a relatively short career) … can Joe Biden debate a woman? … can the nation start to like Biden? Ah, the drama!
