Update to Restaurant Week

+Those colorful dresses with the white vertical stripe/pyramid thingies where they look like the fabric was folded together, then dyed, then unfolded--oh, that sounds like a mistake and not fashion to you? YEAH, ME TOO.

+You know, maxi dresses in general should probably be avoided. They are very, very confusing to the eye. Is the person skinny under there? Fat? Pregnant? No one can tell. I realize that this is part of their allure. But really, put on a t-shirt and shorts then and stop pretending like you're actually getting dressed, because you're not.

The other restaurant week, not the one that just ended. So confusing, I know, we had no restaurant week and now we have two?!

For the “official” Austin Restaurant Week, over 50 restaurants will provide $25 and $35 three-course prix fixe menus to diners for eight nights. A list of participating restaurants will be released Sept 2, but sign up at the website to be the first to know!

The restaurant list is posted! But they won’t officially be released til Tuesday, so I’ll keep quiet. I will tell you that I’d love to try more than one of the places, BUT some of the ritzier restaurants in Austin are not there.
