RSS this is life in austin/aspen
I know not everyone out there freelances, and not everyone who freelances wishes for coworkers. I am a freelancers but don’t wish for coworkers at all, actually, as I enjoy working by myself. BUT it is fun to be around other creatives and in a work environment, hence the nationwide co-working trend. The other night at the mashable event (social networking), I met one of the guys who started Conjunctured, the coworking house on East 7th. It’s gotten some TV news coverage and was the first of its kind in Austin, though now there’s a second coworking space planned for downtown called LaunchPad.
Anyway, the Grand Opening is this Saturday and totally open to everyone. The invite is on facebook. I think the concept is cool, and free, open parties are always cool for meeting new people and exploring new things!
