The Bachelor issue launches tonight at Gibson Guitar showroom at Penn Field. It’s an RSVP-only shindig with free food from Cuba Libre and Imperia and free drinks from Bombay Sapphire. Last time I went to one of their issue releases, they were pretty strict on the guestlist, so it’s not a party I’d recommend crashing. But if you got the email already, definitely go, it should be a lot of fun. Join the VIP mailing list and get these sorts of invites in the future.
Have you guys seen the Bachelor Issue? Bachelor Brad (Womack; the link is to an article I wrote on him–a little shameless self-promotion here) is on the cover, talking about being the quintessential bachelor. There are nine other bachelors, and from one flip-through, I’d say the issue isn’t worth its cover price. But maybe I’ll change my tune after meeting the fellas tonight!

Did you get in, Lyssa? The line was too much for me… A seat under a mister on Opal Divine’s deck was far preferable. So much for the guest list!

Hey Beth! I arrived around 7:45 and there wasn’t really a line, so I got in but was too late for most of the food, which was a bummer. I did have some incredible ceviche–had to be from Imperia, I can’t imagine Cuba Libre having ceviche–and scored a gift bag, which had a ton of coupons and mini gift-certificates. Nice!
Opal Divine’s is pretty sweet too though!
