Moving … to Brykerwoods

It’s a new ‘hood, kids! I’ve been a little MIA lately because of the big move, and I just wanted to let you guys know a few things about moving.

1) I’m in a new neighborhood, within walking distance of Kerbey Lane, SNOW PEA!!!, Central Market, Randall’s, Brick Oven, Flying Tomato, etc. Expect some new food opinions/recs soon.

2) I used a moving company for the first time ever and they were awesome. We’re Here to There was recommended by a realtor (and they should know), and they bid me for two guys for three hours. The first half hour, a third guy was there just helping out while he waited for a ride–how many people would do that?! That’s the caliber of people the company employs. The other two were really nice, hard-working guys. The (tall, attractive) owner stopped by to check on how things were going and bring his guys some drinks. Again, quality people! And then they even helped move some really heavy stuff around in the house that had nothing to do with the move. Awesome! They even had really cute “We’re Here to There” t-shirts! (I know no manly mover man wants to hear that his shirt is cute, but they really were)

If you’re moving, check these guys out. Plus, their scheduler is named John Wayne … seriously.

3) I’ve been teasing about a new restaurant I’ve heard of, and I’m really excited about it. It will be in walking distance of my new house, and I will give you details as soon as I can. Just know that I’m really stinkin’ excited about it. ;-)

4) Nike Human Race update: I guess I failed to mention that Ben Harper is playing a concert at the end of the race. Apparently this is a big deal, and I should have let you guys know. My bad. Ben Harper is playing Nike Human Race, everyone!!!!
